Reed Mathis’ Electric Beethoven Is Taking Over The Northeast

first_imgWith their much-anticipated New York City debut performance at this year’s massive Brooklyn Comes Alive event on Saturday, October 22nd (tickets here), Reed Mathis’ Electric Beethoven project has also announced that the group will play two additional performances at two intimate clubs in NYC following BCA. They’ll also be performing at the Ardmore Music Hall in Ardmore, PA on Sunday, October 23rd (tickets here).Getting To Know Electric Beethoven: An Interview With Reed MathisMathis, along with Todd Stoops, Jay Lane, and Clay Welch will then bring their “Classical Dance Music” to New York City venues The Cutting Room on Tuesday, October 25th and DROM on Wednesday, October 26th. Each of these NYC performances will see the group take on a different symphony each night, with Beethoven’s Symphony No. 3 being played on the first night, and Symphony No. 6 slated for the second night.Over the course of the last couple of years, Mathis put together a who’s who for their soon-to-be-released album, Beathoven, featuring Phish’s Mike Gordon and Page McConnell, Marco Benevento, Joe Russo, Galactic’s Stanton Moore, The Greyboy Allstars’ Robert Walter, Matt Chamberlain, The Barr Brothers and more.
