No aftershocks were recorded. Seismic instruments of Phivolcsrecorded an earthquake, too, at 2.47 a.m. with its epicenter in Hinobaan,Negros Occidental. The earthquake was tectonic in origin,it added. There was no reported damage toproperty or loss of lives. The Dumarao earthquake was the secondrecorded by the institute in Western Visayas yesterday. The United State Geological Survey(USGS), on the other hand, placed the magnitude at 4.9 and with a depth of 38.3kilometers. It also placed the epicenter in Barangay Alimono, Passi City,Iloilo province. Facebook posts showed the tremor wasalso felt in parts of Iloilo province. It was magnitude 2.7 and also tectonicin origin.
