He has since applied for the job, which officially closed on Tuesday. Eisenhower was a national powerhouse a little more than a decade ago. In 1993, under coach Tom Hoak (now an assistant principal), the Eagles went 14-0, won the CIF-Southern Section large-school title and were ranked second in the nation to Cleveland St. Ignatius. McChristian was a key player on that ’93 Ike team.
