TCU wound up 6-6 after big wins over Baylor and Oklahoma State down the stretch.TCU was one of seven bowl eligible teams from the Big 12, and posted a 4-5 record in the league. They’re likely in the third tier of bowl eligible teams in the league when it comes to pecking order.The College Football Playoff and the Sugar Bowl are both out of reach for the Horned Frogs – as is a New Year’s Six game. But Sports Illustrated is still projecting a decent reward for TCU’s late surge.Eric Single of SI is predicting that TCU will take on Stanford in the Cheez-It Bowl in Phoenix, Arizona.That contest is slated to take place on December 26 at 9:00 PM ET.During the regular season, TCU scored wins over Southern, SMU, Iowa State, Kansas State, Baylor and Oklahoma State. The Horned Frogs lost to Ohio State, Texas, Texas Tech, Oklahoma, Kansas and West Virginia.We’ll know TCU’s fate on Sunday afternoon.
